2026: A New Exodus and The Great Checkmate
A year of crossing over, severing ties with Egypt, destroying the chariots of God’s enemies, and redefining peace
A New Exodus
Natural Exodus: A Mass Departure
As I have prayed and sought the Lord for 2026, I kept hearing the phrase, “A New Exodus.” I believe this is two-fold: natural and spiritual. In the natural, there is great movement happening right now among the Body of Christ. Many have been sensing the tensions of this coming season but have struggled to define what it will look like. Be careful not to mislabel this tension as negative or bad; it’s simply different. Concerning 2026, I recently heard Cindy Jacobs say, “We have not been this way before.”
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines an exodus as “a mass departure.” The Greek word originates from Latin and means “a road out.” Let me begin by saying that I do NOT believe that this is a mass departure out of the church. I do believe that many are feeling the drawing of the Lord to relocate and physically move in this next year. Some of these moves will be local, but many will be across state lines and even internationally for a few. Many of these moves do not make sense logically, but the urge to move is too strong to ignore. I believe that in 2026, God is repositioning his people in what appears to be “A Divine Shakeup.” He is placing his “pieces” specifically and intentionally for this next great move of His Spirit. Don’t dismiss the nudge to move. For some, this movement will not necessarily be relocation but a movement into something new, such as a new structure, new blueprint, or new ministry. It is not negative but will look very different.
As I continued to pray for 2026, I saw a map of the United States unfold before me. It looked like a chessboard. I saw the black chess pieces of the enemy taking their positions in many locations, specifically in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and many other major metropolitan cities. The state capital cities were being targeted by the enemy. These demonic pieces seemed to be in place for a victory of the enemy. There was a large black King piece in Chicago with his Queen protecting him from Los Angeles. Just as in the game of chess, the King could only move slowly, but the Queen could move in any direction and as much as she wanted to from that position. They were both proud and standing tall, expecting victory over the US from this position. There was a black Rook positioned in the states of Washington and in Florida, which covered all movement along the 4 sides of the US, including up and down the eastern and western coastlines and the southern and northern borders across Canada and Mexico. However, God had a countermove that no one saw coming: it was “A Great Checkmate.”
I watched as white pawns began to rise from every state starting in the Southeast region. The enemy had allowed his pawns to be captured early in this great game, thinking he only needed his high-ranking pieces (his king, his queen, and his rooks) to win this war. The pawns were everywhere and seemed to multiply as I watched. Because of the multitude of the pawns, they started moving freely across the US, south to north and east to west. This was the great movement I saw coming in 2026. The enemy forgot that when pawns move across the chessboard successfully, they get promoted and become queens. A pawn cannot capture a king in chess, but a queen can. As a result of this movement in 2026, many of these pawns will be promoted to queens as they make their moves.
In chess, a pawn is limited in its movement to 1-2 squares at a time. They are easy targets to take out of the game by the opposing player. Many players dismiss pawns as expendable in the game. However, for a skilled chess player, a pawn is valuable when it moves undetected across the board. Once it crosses to the other side, a pawn promotion takes place, meaning the pawn can be exchanged for any other high-ranking piece desired by the player: a rook, a knight, a bishop, or a queen. Most players choose a queen as queens can move freely in any direction and as many spaces as desired on the chessboard. The queen is considered the most powerful piece on the chessboard. Pawn promotion almost always leads to checkmate. Remember, the movement will cause the promotion in that order. You won’t be promoted if you don’t move in obedience to where God is calling you to go.
Biblical Exodus:
“23 Then the Egyptians took up the pursuit, and all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen went in after them into the midst of the sea. 24 But at the morning watch, the Lord looked down on the army of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and cloud, and brought the army of the Egyptians into confusion. 25 He caused their chariot wheels to swerve, and He made them drive with difficulty; so the Egyptians each said, “Let me flee from Israel, for the Lord is fighting for them against the Egyptians.”
Exodus 14:23-25
Coming Out: Leaving the Old for the New
The pursuit of the enemy has been relentless in this past season. Many of us, myself included, have felt almost overwhelmed by the onslaught of attacks, spiritually and naturally. Some of us have been facing unprecedented battles. I specifically have noticed an intensity in battles over physical health for many leaders in the Body of Christ in the last year. These physical health attacks have caused weariness, exhaustion, and extreme fatigue. Mentally, these health battles have led to a lack of focus, clarity, and vision due to the intensity of the fight. Personally, I have been in a major health battle for almost 7 years now, fighting severe asthma attacks just to breathe on a daily basis for months at a time. When this hits, I feel unable to think straight or accomplish basic daily tasks; some days, these attacks have caused me even to feel like I am fighting just to rest and be in God’s presence. It has stifled my ability to dream and hear his voice clearly, as I feel like I get trapped in a dense brain fog. However, it’s a new day! It’s time to come out and move into the Promised Land that is before us!
The literal route of the Biblical Exodus started in Egypt and ended in the Promised Land of Israel. Before we can enter the Promised Land that God has for us, we must first fully come out of Egypt. That means, no turning back to what was behind us and setting our focus on what lies before us. Leaving Egypt means leaving slavery, bondage, hard labor, and control of the enemy. Leaving Egypt means a complete severing from that demonic system and influence to walk in the fullness of life and freedom. We cannot bring the shackles and chains of Egypt with us into the Promised Land. We also cannot look back out of fear and lose sight of what lies before us now. Israel faced this same temptation to turn back and continue to serve in slavery rather than to press forward in faith and walk in freedom to the Promised Land (Ex. 14:11). Moses’ response to this fear is the same for us in this moment: “Do not fear! Take your stand and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will perform for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again, ever. 14 The Lord will fight for you, while you keep silent.” (Ex. 14:13-14 NASB).
Crossing Over: The Transition
As you begin this movement to crossover, many will not understand why you are moving nor see the vision of what you are moving into. You do not have to explain or defend yourself. The wisdom of the Lord is found in Exodus 14:14, “The Lord will fight for you, while you keep silent.” Others may not see what is before you, and that is ok! Guard your tongue, especially while you are transitioning and crossing over. During times of movement, be careful what you speak and who you speak it to. Not everyone needs to know the details of your transition until you are on the other side of it. Seek Godly counsel, but most of all, follow the leading of Holy Spirit.
I saw many who had begun this crossing over previously but did not continue forward. Instead, they stopped in the transition period and were literally “stuck” in the transition. This would be equivalent to the Israelites who started across the Red Sea while the waters were parted but never continued to the other side and stayed in the waters. Instead, those in this position were out of time and out of season of what God is doing. Resist the urge to stop during the transition. Going back to Egypt is not an option, but staying in the transition is also not an option. Once you start this journey, you must keep going forward no matter what you feel during the transition. The Promised Land is just before you.
Going In: New Territories and New Promised Lands
Remember, new territories mean they are not the same as before. “We have not been this way before.” For something to be new means that it must be different than what we knew before; otherwise, it’s the same. Don’t try to recreate the same Egypt that you just left in the new place that you go. I believe there is great freedom in allowing God to give you a new blueprint once you have entered this new territory. Enjoy the process of discovery. New territories mean new systems, new routines, and a new balance. Enjoy the process of promotion in your movement and allow the Lord to redefine your identity: you are no longer a pawn but a queen!
Severing Ties with Egypt
The systems and mindsets that sustained you in Egypt will not work in the Promised Land. I recently heard Lana Vawser make a statement, “We are moving from surviving to thriving.” These words have resonated with me greatly. Many were simply surviving in Egypt; however, God desires for us to thrive. As you move into this Promised Land, the word for life is not to just survive but to thrive! The season of “survival mode” has officially ended and a new era of “thriving” has arrived. This means thriving in all areas of your life: health, wealth, relationships, family, dreams, peace, and purpose. Let yourself enjoy life and have fun! Relax, rest, and allow God to rejuvenate your soul. Your greatest days are still ahead of you!
Destroying the Chariots
In addition to severing ties with Egypt, I heard a strong word of the Lord that as we continue moving forward, God will destroy the chariots that are in pursuit from Egypt. Pharaoh and the magnitude of his army were actively in pursuit of Israel during their Exodus out of Egypt, through the Red Sea, and into their Promised Land. Just because you move does not mean that your enemies will not try to pursue you and cause you to turn back or stop moving forward. The word was that God would destroy these pursuing chariots, not you. Resist the urge to fight the pursuing enemies as you cross over, but instead, allow the Lord to fight for you. Don’t turn around to engage in a fleshly battle that God wants to fight on your behalf. He will secure this victory in your movement, not you.
Your enemies want you to remain right where you are: to remain in Egypt, to remain in slavery and bondage, and to remain under their influence and fear. Your enemies fear your Exodus because they know that your freedom strips them of their power. Know this though: the pursuit by Pharaoh and his armies is what caused their death. Had they remained in Egypt and not pursued Israel into the Red Sea, they would not have been destroyed but could always come after Israel again in the future. The pursuit of your enemies to stop your movement is just an opportunity for God to destroy them once and for all. Keep moving forward! Don’t stop to engage, don’t look back, and don’t allow fear any place in your mind!
The Lord highlighted to me that He was going to “Burn the chariots with fire.” In ancient military terms, chariots were seen as the strength of an army. They often carried the king and the top military leaders. They were symbolic of human power and resilience, which is why the prophets cautioned against placing trust in chariots instead of trusting in God (Isaiah 31:1). God is “destroying the chariots with fire” meaning they are gone for good. I believe this is two-fold. First, He is destroying the enemies that are in pursuit of those entering this great Exodus. He is destroying their source of strength through their chariots as well as the kings and military leaders who ride upon them. Second, He is destroying our dependence upon self, our own human power/efforts, and our self-resilience apart from God. This requires full surrender so we rely only on Him and not ourselves. There is an impartation of faith and absolute trust in God that He is releasing to His people this year as we move forward through this Exodus.
As we entered 2025, the Lord specifically spoke this to me concerning the next 4-year era: “Psalm 46:9-11 is another verse to declare over this era: ‘He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariots with fire. “Stop striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted on the earth.” The Lord of armies is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.’ In addition to making the wars to cease, the Lord is also reminding his people to ‘stop striving and know that HE is God. Glory will be given to God, not to man. I believe there is also an invitation through this decree to stop striving.’”
As I revisited this word, the Lord emphasized verse 9: “He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariots with fire.” There is a finality of ending wars and removing our enemies as well as the “kings” in which they serve. There is a divine overthrow coming in 2026 of many reigning principalities and false kings across the US and beyond. Not only is God causing wars to cease, further, he is also now destroying the “false kings” who are behind these attacks. They will be overthrown and unable to attack again in the future. These kings are being stripped of their power and self-exaltation for God to be glorified among the nations.
When the kings and their chariots are destroyed, all that remains are the spoils of war. It’s time to take back the wealth of the enemy’s kingdom and bring it into the Kingdom of God. Be ready to collect the wealth of the nations in 2026! 2 Chronicles 20:25, “When Jehoshaphat and his people came to take their spoils, they found much among them, including goods, garments, and valuable things which they took for themselves, more than they could carry. And they were taking the spoils for three days because there was so much.”
Redefining Peace
An Era of the Prince of Peace
“Another title from this list in Isaiah 9:6 that I believe will mark this next era and President Trump’s next 4 years is the Prince of Peace. As of 2024, wars are prevalent in the nations of the world. By declaring that President Trump would be a prince of peace through God’s power, wars will cease and peace will return.” (Original word released in December 2024)
As of December 7, 2025, according to the US State Department, President Trump has ended and/or been involved in peace treaties of 8 international conflicts:
Cambodia and Thailand
Kosovo and Serbia
DRC and Rwanda
Pakistan and India
Israel and Iran
Egypt and Ethiopia
Armenia and Azerbaijan
Israel and Hamas
Further, Trump was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize and has been referred to as “The President of Peace” by multiple nations. On December 6, 2025, “Donald Trump has been named the first winner of the newly created Fifa peace prize, claiming 'the world is a safer place now' as he received the award at the draw for the 2026 World Cup in Washington DC.” (https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/dec/05/fifa-peace-prize-trump-world-cup-infantino). I believe this trend will continue over the next 4 years as wars end, resulting in peace in the nations of the world.
God challenges the dictators! Before World War II began, Rees Howells declared in intercession from the Bible College of Wales that, “God challenges the dictators.” Along with his band of committed intercessors who have been praying for over 100 years now, these faithful men and women determined that Communism was one of the greatest hindrances to the spread of the Gospel to every creature throughout the world in fulfillment of the Great Commission of Jesus (cf. Mark 16:15). As World War II began, Rees Howells identified 3 specific enemies who were standing in God’s way of Kingdom advancement: Hitler (Nazism), Mussolini (Fascism), and Stalin (Communism). I believe that this same three-fold threat is before us today, and God is challenging the dictators once again.
This challenge begins in intercession. I have personally witnessed an emergence of intercessors around the globe who are hungry and committed to take their position on their watchtowers and declare the Word of the Lord with boldness. They are ready to stand until the victory is fully attained. If God has appointed you as a watchman in this season, then take your position. Vigilance is key. Stay alert and don’t fall asleep on the tower. Be ready with a weapon in one hand and your tools to build in the other (cf. Nehemiah 4:17-18).
Russia and Ukraine: Concerning this specific war, I believe that God will deal with President Putin in the coming year if he does not relent and return to his homeland. As a result, the glory of Ukraine will return. There is a remnant in Ukraine that will exalt the name of the Lord. Isaiah 37 is one passage to pray over this conflict. I believe that President Putin is a typology of the King of Assyria. Ukraine has been living in Isaiah 37:3 since this war began: “This day is a day of distress, rebuke and rejection; for children have come to birth, and there is no strength to deliver.” However, God is calling us to pray for those who remain in Ukraine according to Isaiah 37:4: “Therefore, offer a prayer for the remnant that is left.”
In February 2022, Dr. Sam Matthews shared an intercession with me concerning Russia and President Putin specifically. He read to me Isaiah 37:6-7, “Isaiah said to them, ‘Thus you shall say to your master, “Thus says the Lord, ‘Do not be afraid because of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me. Behold, I will put a spirit in him so that he will hear a rumor and return to his own land. And I will make him fall by the sword in his own land.’”” I have continued to pray this over President Putin since that day. The Lord took me further into Isaiah 37:3-4 NASB, “3 And they said to him, ‘This is what Hezekiah says: ‘This day is a day of distress, rebuke, and humiliation; for children have come to the point of birth, and there is no strength to deliver them. 4 Perhaps the Lord your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to taunt the living God, and will avenge the words which the Lord your God has heard. Therefore, offer a prayer for the remnant that is left.’” I felt in my Spirit that there is a day of deliverance coming to Russia, and God has had me intercede, specifically, for the strength to deliver. Further, I have prayed and interceded for the remnant that is left there. Intercessions are living; they are alive and continue from generation to generation.
On June 11, 2023, God spoke to me: “I will break the back of communism.” I then saw an iron rod being bent that connected Russia, China, and North Korea. As it was bent, the alliance between these nations was being broken and separated. I began to cry out for freedom for the people who lived under the oppression and slavery of these nations. On October 8, 2023, the Lord spoke to me: “Turkey will become a mediator of peace for the entire Middle East. Pray for this nation to remain neutral and at peace.” In December 2024, while in intercession over Russia, God spoke to me again, “Moldova is the door for Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, and Romania.”
On August 8, 2025, while in intercession in the Blue Room at the Bible College of Wales in Swansea, God led our team deep into intercession over Russia. He spoke 2 passages very clearly. Habakkuk 2:4-5, “4 Behold, as for the proud one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous will live by his faith.” 5 “Furthermore, wine betrays the haughty man, So that he does not stay at home. He enlarges his appetite like Sheol, And he is like death, never satisfied. He also gathers to himself all nations And collects to himself all peoples.” The second passage was Amos 5:24, ““But let justice roll down like waters And righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” Russia has aligned with the Proud One which is identified as the false god of Death, Mot. Russia, just like Death, is never satisfied and seeks to gather the nations to itself instead of to God.
As we continued in intercession, the Lord spoke further to me out of Daniel 7:5, “And behold, another beast, a second one, resembling a bear. And it was raised up on one side, and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth; and thus they said to it, ‘Arise, devour much meat!’” I had not spoke this out loud yet when my husband (Mike) began describing something he was seeing as we prayed. He saw two giant bear claws coming around the earth to grip both sides of the globe in his paws. Russia was as the bear that Daniel described devouring anyone who would get in its way of dominion and power. However, this was far from over.
God had me continue in Daniel 7:9-10, “I kept looking Until thrones were set up, And the Ancient of Days took His seat; His vesture was like white snow And the hair of His head like pure wool. His throne was ablaze with flames, Its wheels were a burning fire. A river of fire was flowing And coming out from before Him; Thousands upon thousands were attending Him, And myriads upon myriads were standing before Him; The court sat, And the books were opened.” He had me pray and release Isaiah 37:, verses 16-17 and 19-20: “O Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, who is enthroned above the cherubim, You are the God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth. Incline Your ear, O Lord, and hear; open Your eyes, O Lord, and see; and listen to all the words of Sennacherib, who sent them to reproach the living God. and have cast their gods into the fire, for they were not gods but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone. So they have destroyed them. Now, O Lord our God, deliver us from his hand that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone, Lord, are God.” We began to pray further for peace between Russia and Ukraine. We also prayed for President Trump to be a peacemaker in ending this war. Later that day, we found out that the historic peace meeting was scheduled between President Trump and President Putin on August 15, 2025.
October 19, 2025 was my 40th birthday. While gathering at The Well during worship, God moved us into deep intercession for Russia. A beloved sister from Moldova began crying out in her native tongue, proclaiming, “The rush is coming!” Immediately, I heard the Lord say, “There is a rushing in Russia.” Our worship leader began singing, “The East Gate is opening in Russia.” In the natural, the East Gate of Russia is called the Triumphal Arch and is located in Victory Square. This is a prophetic sign for Russia. May those who have ears to hear, hear the word of the Lord! God continued to speak during this service: “Watch for a day of delivery in Russia.” I believe that January 9, 2026 will be a significant day for Russia and a day of delivery for Ukraine. God is ending this war in 2026!
Redefining Biblical Peace
The enemy has deceived much of the Body of Christ and has caused many to settle for a false peace without even realizing it. False peace means compromise for the sake of peace, which is actually not peace at all. False peace creates false security in something that isn’t real. True Biblical peace means absolute victory over our enemies. Many have entered into “false peace treaties” with their enemies without realizing it. They have yielded their God-given promises and destinies in order to alleviate attacks of the enemy. I believe that there is a season of real and lasting peace before us if we will press forward into the position of victory found only through Jesus.
Another aspect of peace in the New Testament is defined as a position of life in which we live completely surrendered to God and fully reliant upon Him. No matter the opposition or difficulties that come against us, our position remains unchanged. This is how we live from the position of peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7); we can only live from this position when we yield our need to understand everything. Peace is not passivity or avoidance; it is the ability to live unaffected by the circumstances of life that happen around us. Jesus states that only those who live from this position of peace are recognized as sons of God according to Matthew 5:9. To make peace is to be one who lets go and stops striving according to Psalm 46:10.
One final aspect of peace in the New Testament is to live in good health which encompasses all aspects of our lives: physical health, mental health, and emotional health. Caring for our bodies as a temple of the Lord is the true definition of living in good health. Paul emphasizes this for all believers according to 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. God is dealing with many Christians right now about their physical health. I see the Lord highlighting the specific areas of weight and sleep which have been neglected by many Christians. Stewarding our bodies means we get healthy physically. This requires the fruit of the Holy Spirit of self-discipline. Many have sacrificed their rest and their physical bodies on the altar of ministry for far too long. It’s time for the Body of Christ to set the example for the rest of the world in how to walk in good health. For those who have entered seasons of rest and Sabbatical, use this time to regain your health and your rest.
To prosper is to live from this position of peace (3 John 1:2). The Greek word used for “prosper” is euodoō. This word is a verb that means, “to grant a prosperous and expeditious journey, to lead by a direct and easy way.” The key to this word is that prosperity comes during the journey. We have to move to prosper; we can’t stay where we are. If you are resisting the journey God has before you, the Exodus, and the movement, you will also miss the prosperity. This prosperity is not just financial, but also includes good health and peace. God is redefining peace in our lives in 2026.
The Raising Up of Sons and Daughters
There is a shift happening in the Body of Christ right now where many fathers and mothers are stepping out of their lead roles or entering glory. I personally know many fathers and mothers of the faith who entered eternal glory in 2025. Some finished well, while sadly, others did not. We are in a kairos moment of God where these sons and daughters have an opportunity to rise and take their positions within the Body of Christ. Some are struggling with the grief and loss of their father; some are struggling with their own insecurities in stepping into these positions; and some are simply resisting the next season that God is orchestrating and are refusing to step up. Don’t miss this moment!
There is a caution of the Lord among these sons and daughters: do not become prodigal siblings. Don’t be like the older brother in Luke 15 who was jealous and angry at the younger brother who had walked away from the family and squandered part of his inheritance. Jealousy among the siblings will disqualify you from stepping into your full inheritance. Instead, celebrate the siblings who are coming home in this season. Welcome them with open arms. Don’t fight for your inheritance as there is more than enough to go around. Your father is generous and has more than enough for all of his sons and daughters.
Many of the mantles our fathers and mothers wore are being split. God desires for this next generation to lead together and as teams, not as a “One-man show.” Those who are fighting for the full mantle are missing what God is doing in this hour. The pieces of their mantle are falling graciously to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear and who are ready to embrace an apostolic team model of leadership in the Body of Christ. Those who are fighting their spiritual siblings will be disqualified, while those who embrace and carry their piece of the mantle will be positioned to lead. I see these pieces coming together like a “coat of many colors” to cloak the Body of Christ and represent all aspects of God’s goodness and glory to the world.
